From the incredibly responsive 400 hp (295 kW) 4.2-litre 90 V8 engine, the Maserati DuoSelect electro-hydraulic transmission to the Skyhook adaptive damping system the Quattroporte is a set apart.

With blistering and exhilarating handling the Quattroporte Sport was created to enhance its high performance spirit with a sporty character, which has been achieved through small yet significant aesthetic touches. The black chrome of the grille takes inspiration from Maserati’s traditional racing styling cues while the bonnet bears the pierced Trident typical of the Maserati competition cars of the past.

High-performance and high-tech, even the gearbox has been given a radical overhaul with a Sport button that allows the driver to significantly cut gear changing times, due to the development in the electro-hydraulic transmission systemís CPU.

The 20-inch wheels and specific Skyhook adaptive damping software mean a clear improvement in dynamic handling when used in more press-on situations. The wheels include a tyre pressure monitoring system, combined with brakes featuring metal weave tubing, cross-drilled discs and titanium-coloured callipers. Sportsman-like even in aesthetics, the Quattroporte Sport features a carbon fibre trimmed steering wheel, sporty hand-brake grip and lightweight aluminium pedals. A cocoon-like haven of buttery leather and precious woods, the Maserati Quattroporte’s cabin combines sumptuous handcrafted elegance with the space and comfort of a car designed to confidently eat up the miles on long journeys. The cabin ambience and colours are exceptionally warm, giving a sense of cocoon-like protection. This is due to the use of deluxe woods, stunningly soft and exclusive leathers by Poltrona Frau, and other materials that can be tailored to suit tastes and requirements. Three different woods are available for the Quattroporte: rosewood, mahogany and walnut. In addition, the car can be customised with a futuristic high tech titanium-effect or an elegant Black Piano finish.
